Many people tell me that drawing is a talent I always had. Truth is, I have worked very hard to gain what technique I have now. After years of trying, failing, and trying again, I can happily say my skills are developing at a steady pace. My work consists mostly of an intial sketch and then scanning the image in, to color it in Photoshop. In searching to give each of my characters a distinct image, I spend a lot of time experimenting.
Anime was my number one artistic influence. Upon my first viewing of Sailormoon when I was 13, my drawing obsession began. As a self taught digital artist the biggest obstacle to overcome was the lack of professional advice. Now, after years of online tutorials, experimentation and self preservation, I would like to share my knowledge while encouraging more options and interest in digital painting.
